Duggan named head women’s ice hockey coach
Director of Athletics
Michael Renwick has
announced that Carson
Duggan has been hired as
the women’s ice hockey
coach. Duggan guided
Trinity to a 15-11 overall
record and a 9-7 mark in
NESCAC as interim coach
in 2011-12. Elevated to
the head position in late
September after one season
as an assistant coach at
Trinity, Duggan navigated
the Bantams through an
extremely tough schedule,
rebounding from a 1-6
record during the fall semester
to post a 13-4 mark
over the final 17 games of
the regular season. Trinity
earned a home game in the
NESCAC Championship
Tournament, defeated
Hamilton, 3-1, in the quarterfinals to make its third
straight appearance in the
NESCAC Final Four, and
closed the winter with a
4-1 loss at Middlebury.
Duggan was selected by
her peers as the NESCAC
Coach of the Year and
by the media as the New
England Hockey Writers
Division II/III Coach of
the Year.
