Commentary
Democrat
Obama won the state with 60 percent, and likewise all attendance
categories hovered around 60 percent. This is a state where he managed to
carry the Catholic vote, 52 percent to 47 percent, but he did a good deal
better among Protestants (60-40). Other religions (including Muslims) gave
him the largest majority (66 percent) with Nones coming in second (63
percent).
Republican
Apparently no exit poll conducted, but with McCain capturing 72 percent
of the vote, nothing of particular interest is likely to have come out of
it. |
