Nothing much to note here, where
Clinton served as First Lady. Of all religious groupings, only
African-American Protestants backed Obama, by three-to-one. The closest
Obama came in any other segment of the religious demographic pie was among
the eight percent of Arkansans who profess some other religion (Hindu,
Buddhist, etc.); they went for Clinton by only 55 percent to 42 percent.
Those of no religion cast 69 percent of their votes for her.
Republican
Even less to report in Mike
Huckabee’s home state. Huckabee swept the table. The closest
of the 25 percent of Arkansas Republicans who said
they were not evangelicals, McCain carried 33 percent to Huckabee’s
41 percent. Among the few-times-a-year attenders, Huckabee got 45 percent to
McCain’s 31 percent. (There weren’t enough Catholics or others or zero
attenders to register on the poll). |
