Summary:


Mark Franklin is the Reitemeyer Professor Emeritus of International Politics. When he retired from Trinity he became the inaugural Stein Rokkan Professor of Comparative Politics at the European University Institute (EUI, near Florence, Italy) on a five-year contract that ended in 2011, although he remained a director of the European Union Democracy Observatory at the EUI's Robert Schumann Center for Advanced Studies until 2017. A past Guggenheim Fellow and Fulbright Scholar, Franklin is a founding member of the Steering Committee (now Board of Directors) of Monitoring Electoral Democracy (MEDem) and chairs the Advisory Board of the British Election Study.
